About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To take the things from life that I love and to be content with the things that I take. To not waste a single moment and never lose zest!
ABOUT ME
I like educating the world about interesting things I've learned, like describing how leopard slugs mate or the life cycles of certain parasites. I'm really interested in the natural world and immersing myself in it! I´m not a huge partier, but like conversations, and am an early riser.
PHILOSOPHY
To live with the sometimes-failed goal of giving every new experience a shot. To find a purpose and try to leave the world a little happier than I found it. To laugh a lot, and most important of all live with an intensity and passion for life. OH! and "to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to host couchsurfers in the future! That is if anyone is interested in traveling to the bustling urban hub of Lawrence, Michigan!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have WWOOFed thus far in Mindo, Ecuador, at a place that also houses couchsurfers. I also couchsurfed in Cuenca, Ecuador and Cusco, Peru.
Interests
Finding a little magic and wonder in the world, helping others, volunteering, connecting with animals, reading, singing along, regenerative agriculture, growing food, cooking/making a huge mess in the kitchen (but always cleaning it up), square dancing!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Folk music, blue grass, and blue grass is a current favorite, but
Movies/TV Shows: I don't watch much, but I love Masterpiece Mystery! And Fantastic Mr. Fox. And Nacho Libre. And The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Books: I lean toward the fantasy side, as well as do-it-yourself-guides. Haruki Murakami! Mary Roach.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I saw a loggerhead sea turtle slowly haul her bulk up on to a beach, sink into a trance, and begin depositing her eggs, along with the first time I went scuba diving and stared straight into the eye of a blenny (a tiny little fish that lives in coral structures). I think the last would be when I saw a herd of horses kicking up a cloud of dust in early morning rays in Wyoming.
Teach, Learn, Share
A general knowledge of animal facts and related information (if I don't have an answer, I would certainly love to find it for you)! Bracelet making. Spoon carving, seed saving, proper cat petting, fruit leather skillzz, lyrics to obscure songs!
What I Can Share with Hosts
All of the previous, plus I really love cooking and am great at washing dishes!
