ABOUT ME

I am originally from Russia but at the moment I live in England, studying Economics with Spanish at the university of Sheffield. I love to travel, meet new people and learn about different cultures. I enjoy listening to all types of music really, and I play the piano in my free time. I find history fascinating and absolutely love walking around historical sites, observe the architecture and take pictures. I am easy-going and friendly, and like to think that I get along with pretty much everyone I meet!

Interests

Dancing (i used to do ballet but now i am more into latin american dancing like salsa), languages, playing the piano, reading, going on day-long walks in national parks (love the Peak District in Sheffield) or just around a beautiful city. As for sport, I love running and I used to play football at school, but now I mainly just watch it and support my hometown team. I love having long conversations and debates, especially about Philosophy and History, even though I certainly would not call myself an expert on either of those haha. and of course i love travelling !

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Fight Club, Blow, The Motorcycle Diaries, Girl Interrupted, Pulp Fiction, The Master and Margarita, Forrest Gump. Generally, I love psychological thrillers and 90s films. My favourite series are Breaking Bad, Misfits, Game of Thrones and of course Friends.
Music - as I mentioned above, I enjoy listening to all types of music, I find something I like in any genre. but my favorites are Reggae, Electronic, Classic and Psychedelic Rock (especially Pink Floyd and The Doors).
books - The Beach, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Alice in Wonderland, The keys of Babylon, Crime and Punishment, Mayakovsky poems. I also love a good detective story, I mean who doesnt!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona blew my mind, its definitely the most beautiful building I have ever seen!
I raised money for charity at university and was able to participate in Treasure Hunt game around Europe, where teams competed in getting first to an unknown place in Europe, after visiting 5 places on the way, getting an envelope with a clue of where to go next. It was the best thing I have even done, having had such a fun time, seen some amazing places and met great people from all over the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more languages and how to cook new tasty foods. I can teach how to read music and speak Russian :)
