ABOUT ME

I'm a positive person, responsible, and friendly; I can get along with just about anyone. I'm all about new discoveries and learning new skills. I've been told I laugh really easily and until I'm told differently, I'm going to take this as a compliment. My favorite kind of people are those who are passionate about what they love, but don't always take themselves so seriously.

PHILOSOPHY

Going to the beach with my dad taught me that sometimes the best way to adjust to frigid water is to just jump in rather than wading in the shallows until your ankles go numb. I like to apply that to other aspects of life as well.
I also think labels are overrated especially in respect to sexuality, political orientation and religion.

I've hosted a few people now, but I haven't actually couchsurfed myself yet!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting has been awesome! The people I've met have all been really sweet and have shared some really cool and unique experiences.

I love writing, painting and volunteering. I love long walks and exploring! I'm always looking to challenge myself to do cool interesting things. Also I love animals and kids.
I've just started blues dancing and I completely hooked! I've done a bit of sea kayaking and I'm just starting to learn how to white water kayak. I'm also fascinated by the oral literary tradition and folk literature.

Most recently, seeing the bioluminescence in the ocean by the San Juan Islands (border between US and Canada). It was raining so every raindrop kept lighting up on the ocean.
