About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take the longest trail to my destination, wrong turns are even better.

ABOUT ME

Easy-going and always looking for an adventure. I love to smile, laugh, and share simple good things with other people.
I'm currently studying to be a textile designer/artist and am always looking for something new to learn.
I have many passions, travel, music and art being the top three.

PHILOSOPHY

Things really happen for a reason, these events lead us where we need to be. Pain and suffering aren't always negative because of this, and you're heart will grow exponentially because of it. The people we meet show the various paths, but it's up to us to choose the right one; we always have a choice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only just begun. I had some amazing experiences overseas in Spain, Morocco and Italy and also in NYC. I want to help out the couch surfers who need and most certainly make awesome friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While living in Savannah, I've had the great pleasure of meeting all kinds of CSurfers who are so talented and charming. Music on the front porch with a case of beer playing till the early morning. Biking at all hours to find an adventure. I recently stayed with a great guy in NYC and met some great people through him. Life is an experience. We also stayed with people on Morocco and Spain and Italy who really helped us and showed some beautiful things that they see all the time.

Interests

Exploring, learning, getting lost, knitting, reading, making and listening to music, eating delicious slow food, hiking, biking, swimming, climbing trees, staying up late and getting up early... sometimes. Most satisfactory is sitting on the porch or in a busy campo with a good drink and even better company at any time of the day.

Music, Movies, and Books

A bit of everything that friends recommend. Currently: Bon Iver, Sunset Rubdown, Phoenix, A Fine Frenzy, and Florence and the Machine. I find my books on my friends bookshelves. Currently: Dave Eggers, Jerzy Kozinski, Jeff Vandermeer, Acme Novelty Library and Lonely Planet Language phrase books. Movies: true to heart, goofy as hell, testosterone packed action, blood curdling fright, and overall a good story. i.e. almost anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode camels in the desert (Zagora, Morocco) Learned to drive stick shift along cliffs (Agadir, Morocco) and saw Venice during a white out, and had a snowball fight in the campos.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best experience was in Savannah. After meeting a musician at a house concert, a friend and I joined him on the front porch of the house he was staying at. We played the blues, drank, and wailed our sorrows. Till today he's a great friend and I can't wait to see him again.
