Hi everyone,

I'm Alex, a Belgian dreamer who decided to move to Helsinki for work in 2019.

Lawyer by formation, I'm currently working in an international NGO. Through my work and in my free time, I've come to travel a lot and I met a fair share of interesting and inspiring people.

Covid somehow put my/the world in halt, but I still strongly believe couchsurfing to be an excellent tool to connect with great minds.

I'm multilingualist, fluent in five languages, conversational level in three, and beginner in two. Language definitely won't be a barrier between us.

I enjoy deep conversation, politics, philosophy, good humour and well-placed puns with a glass of beer and a plate of good food.

Musica, film e libri

I'm mostly into rock music with a slight preference for progressive music with bands such as Porcupine Tree, Archive, Anathema, Steven Wilson, Tool, Pineapple Thief.

I read mostly political, philosophical and sociology books at the moment, but I do enjoy some novels, with a particular likeness to Murakami.

Movies: big fan of Christopher Nolan and HBO series in general.

Buying a motorbike in Vietnam for 200€, touring the country in 5 weeks and 3500km before selling the bike for 170€.

I also once was in the same room as JK Rowling.
