I am 23 years old, and I live in southern Brazil since I was born. I am currently a 5th year medical student (in Brazil, Medical School is 6 years long).

I speak Portuguese (first language) and English (proficient by Cambridge: CAE). I like to study other languagues, although the graduation takes most of my time. I've started learning french and german in the past, but I'm currently learning Japanese (Beginner student).

I also like the exact sciences. I teach math, chemistry and physics at a course (where I studied in the past) that prepares students to apply for the tests to enter university and the military forces.

I like dogs and cats very much (indeed, my mother has lots of them).

I am completely against discrimination of any kind. I believe in a world where people can love without being hated for of it (it doesn't matter if it's straight couple, a gay couple, or any other kind), where blacks and whites, men and women are treated like equals.

I have so far visited two countries.
The first was Uruguay, in 2008, but it was a short trip, can't say I knew the place very well.

The second was France. I stayed for 12 days in Paris, and visited all the main regions of the city. I loved the place (at least from a touristic point of view), from the small parks in the Marais to the Sacre Coeur steps in the Montmartre.

I'd really love to keep visiting new places while travelling the world in the future, but currently I don't have the time nor the money to do so.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm currently couchsurfing because I plan to do a medical observership in Los Angeles, and my financial situation isn't confortable.
Also, I'm sure that meeting new people from different countries (in this case, the USA) is an awesome experience to improve the language and to exchange cultural knowledge and live stories.
In spite of that, I'd only be available to do that (talk to my hosts) during the night, as I'll work hard during the day in the observership.

I think it's only honest to say that, although I'm looking for couch hosts, I cannot, at the present moment, offer my couch in Brazil to other people (maybe only to the host I come to know), since I still live with my father, and he wouldn't allow so, unfortunately.

I also like to run and bycicling.

In the medical area, I like cardiology (worked, as medstudent, assisting outpatients in the hospital clinics), internal medicina, neurosurgery (in which I'm gonna do the observership) and emergency medicine.

I'm a fan of classic rock (though I also like other kinds of music), and a hardcore fan of the Beatles, although I've only started to listen to the fab four less than a year ago.

I like movies from all genres, Classic (The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club), Action (lots), Fiction (Inception, Lord of the Rings).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Well, one amazing thing I did in the past, and a pretty scary one too, was to abandon medical school in order to follow another dream from early adolescence: study in the most reputable engineering school in Brazil, the Technological Institute of Aeronautics. I studied for a year to do the test, ended up being approved and studied there for a few months, but soon found out that it wasn't for me. Then I went back to medschool. Pretty crazy, huh?
