Hi :)

My name is Alexandria, Alex for short. I set off on my travel journey 3 years ago. I started in Australia and spent a year there, I then traveled through Asia and started a job teaching English in Thailand. I lived there for 6 months. I then started traveling with my boyfriend (who I met traveling in Australia). We started in California and traveled through Mexico and Guatemala and we made a home in Guatemala for 9 months. We both work at a kids camp in Massachusetts but now we are beginning to travel again and we are heading to India. We will eventually get our certification to teach yoga. But for now, we want to see the beautiful country! :)

Before beginning my travels I got my Bachelors degree in Psychology and focused my studies on child Psychology. I lived in San Diego (the best city you could live in, I am only slighty biased ;) ) and spent my time hiking, bike riding, skateboarding, going to be the beach, checking out new restaurants and breweries, attending food festivals and music festivals and really anything to get me out of the house. I love any and every experience I have and I really enjoying trying new things and exploring new cities. But what has brought me the most joy in my life since I was young is exploring new countries, people and cultures. I love immersing myself in a culture and really becoming a part of it. Seeing what life is like through the eyes of the people that live there and this is what fuels my travels.

I have many amazing travel stories I would love to share with you but I wont give it all away on here. I would love to share my stories with you and hear all of yours :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet other travelers and hear their story. I don't want to travel as a tourist. I want to really get to know the country from someone who lives there.
