Hi I'm Alex - currently living in Hobart, Tasmania. I moved here three years ago and fell in love with the lifestyle, the landscape and community-mindedness of the place. I've spent a lot of time camping out in old forests and exploring some of the hidden gems this little island has to offer. I've also travelled a fair bit overseas living in Aarhus in Denmark and Utrecht in The Netherlands as part of university exchange.

I'm studying to become a primary school teacher and host a current affairs radio program on the local Hobart community station. I volunteer with a food kitchen on a regular basis and also work as a barista at the local farmers market. Just like most people in my spare time I like to catch up with friends for a few drinks, check out bands, go to the beach, go for bushwalks, read books and news articles, or just slob out and watch tv. I enjoy getting to explore different perspectives of people around the world and having a grand old time in general.
