About Me
I'm moving to NYC in March 2019 for 4-6 months for an unpaid internship with the UN... just getting out of a Masters ... and with the oh so strong Canadian dollar (jokes) ... I'm looking for every opportunity to live life as entertainingly and cheaply as possible!
I'm very open and love meeting new people and learning about new cultures and experiencing all a country has to offer. I couch surfed my way across the UK in 2015 and had the best experiences ever and would love to relive it.
I'm a recent graduate of a victimology program and have a wide a range of interests in criminality, international development, governance and community health. I am interested in learning about community social problems/ solutions so that I can come home and be better globally inspired to help locally.
I have lived in Australia and visited over 40 countries, so I would love to share stories and swap information!
I'm looking for longer stay arrangements and would be happy to pay a (hopefully some what reduced) rent for people who have a private room available! I arrive in March 2019.
I have a long distance bf (this seems to be an important and limiting factor for certain people who have offered to host or meet up with me). This also means I cannot accept shared-surfaces or bachelor apartments for obvious reasons.
Also looking to chat with people so I have some connections in NYC before I move down! Need to know where the best and cheapest food is!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Looking to meet my neighbours to the south and get an get a authentic experience!
Although some nights I expect I'll be exhausted and just need rest, mostly I'd like to go out on walking tours of the neighbourhood with my host and learn what makes them love their home! Meeting friends and family is cool too!
