Hi, I'm Alex. I grew up in Chester, a town in Cheshire. I love travelling, I have made friends in many different countries as I love experiencing other people's cultures and perspectives. I am definitely addicted to seeing new places and meeting new people haha. My idea of a great time is discovering a beautiful place that isnt as popular as it should be, so it is more authentic. I graduated from the University of Nottingham, studying geography, and I now work as a sustainability consultant near London. I am a tennis enthusiast, playing multiple times a week and also an enthusiastic artist in my free time and I also love watching movies and listening to jazz music!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had such amazing surfing experiences, especially in the US! I think it is such a fantastic opportunity to experience someone else's culture and hospitality, and make new friends in foreign lands. I love sharing someone's way of living and hopefully giving them something in return, like cooking a meal or playing sports! I have not had a chance to host myself yet due to living at home with parents and now living in a rather untouristy city haha.

Went on a solo trip starting in Morocco and going through France, Italy, and Austria, experiencing such a vast variety in landscapes and cultures!

I would love to learn new cultures and languages, as well as share my knowledge and culture. I am mixed race so so offer a unique perspective of being British-Taiwanese. I would love to teach you tennis too!
