Hello!

I moved back to Guadeloupe to a full time job in September 2024 after 9 years of living abroad and traveling the world!

I live now in a small house near the beach.
I can host in the living room on a couch or in a a guest room. No AC but a fan.
I’m happy to meet you and take you to places in the weekend, usually we go hiking, snorkeling, check out cultural events… During the week (from Monday to Thursday), I'm quite busy, as I go to the office to work and play badminton in the evening, or go to a choir.

I'm a French writer and teacher exploring the world and doing data science for a living.

I also published children book about animals in Caribbean : "Les Rencontres de Bombilo".

I like to spend my free time to go to art exibitions, movies, concerts, restaurants while I am in the city.
And when I am in the countryside, I like hiking in the mountains, swimming, scuba diving, enjoying the nature and also eating fresh food.

In both cities and countryside, I love eating :) I am always curious of discovering new tastes and always in for bean-to-bar chocolate or nice homemade food.

I wrote children books. My first one was published in 2014 in Guadeloupe (French Caribbeans where I lived before). I published 7 already.

I quit my work as a statistician in September 2014 to get a new masters degree at la Sorbonne to be a French as a foreign language teacher. Then, I have been a French teacher in South Korea for 2 years, then in Casablanca, Morocco for 3 years, then in Abu Dhabi, Emirates for a year, then I taught only online and lived in Bangkok and traveled around for a year. I'm back in Guadeloupe since September 2024.

I have a black cat, Diego, very cute and friendly, 13 years old this year! I love him!
I am married and live with my husband Aziz, who is also on CouchSurfing!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I've been on CS for 17 years now.
I've been hosting everywhere I've been living, and I'm still in touch with people I hosted or who hosted me years ago! Actually, CS community is a very important part of my life.

I think CS makes the world a better place to live in, but I noticed there are more and more "takers" around.
Many people nowadays want to be hosted but don't host themselves. Or claim to travel for free but aren't conscious that we're all part of the same world, and yes hitchhiking is great but someone is paying for the gas and car, yes, couchsurfing is great but someone is paying for the rent, gas, electricity, water. So nothing is really free, it's all about sharing. Pay it forward.

I also love fermenting stuff, I've been doing pickles, sourdough bread, kombucha, but all this requires a few weeks at least!
