Hello!

I moved back to Guadeloupe to a full time job on 2nd of September after 9 years of living abroad and traveling the world!
I live now with my best friend in a small house.
We can host in the living room on a couch or in a hammock on the terrace (but beware of mosquitoes and the heat because we don’t have extra mosquito net / fan yet!).
We’re happy to meet you and take you to places in the weekend, usually we go hiking, snorkeling, check out cultural events…

I'm a French writer and teacher exploring the world and doing data science for a living.

I like to spend my free time to go to art exibitions, movies, concerts, restaurants while I am in the city.
And when I am in the countryside, I like hiking in the mountains, swimming, scuba diving, enjoying the nature and also eating fresh food.

In both cities and countryside, I love eating :) I am always curious of discovering new tastes and always in for bean-to-bar chocolate or nice homemade food.

I wrote children books. My first one was published in 2014 in Guadeloupe (French Caribbeans where I lived before). I published 6, and 1 is coming out in 2025.

I quit my work as a statistician in September 2014 to get a new masters degree at la Sorbonne to be a French as a foreign language teacher. Then, I have been a French teacher in South Korea for 2 years, then in Casablanca, Morocco for 3 years, then in Abu Dhabi, Emirates for a year, then I taught only online and lived in Bangkok and traveled around for a year.

I have a black cat, Diego, very cute and friendly, 13 years old this year! I love him!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on CS for 17 years now.
I've been hosting everywhere I've been living, and I'm still in touch with people I hosted or who hosted me years ago! Actually, CS community is a very important part of my life.

I think CS makes the world a better place to live in, but I noticed there are more and more "takers" around.
Many people nowadays want to be hosted but don't host themselves. Or claim to travel for free but aren't conscious that we're all part of the same world, and yes hitchhiking is great but someone is paying for the gas and car, yes, couchsurfing is great but someone is paying for the rent, gas, electricity, water. So nothing is really free, it's all about sharing. Pay it forward.

I can make chocolate tasting and introduce you to bean-to-bar chocolate world!
I also love fermenting stuff, I've been doing pickles, sourdough bread, kombucha, but all this requires a few weeks at least!

I can teach how to swim as we live by the sea.
I can teach you how to play badminton and ping pong!
