Heyooo :) My name is Alex and I'm currently living in Madrid, Spain, but am from the Bay Area in California. Since living in Europe I have been traveling way more, and have loved meeting people from all around the world. Currently working as an au pair (nanny, but I live with the family) and have two little girls who are wonderful. Always up for anything and new experiences! Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couchsurfing but I have so many friends who love it and use it to travel or to host people, and I love the idea of being able to meet new people and stay with locals. Traveling has really opened my eyes to so many things, and has helped me learn more about the world and myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a native English speaker and am almost fluent in Spanish, so I can help with either of those languages. I love to cook, make art, hike/be in nature, and am passionate about the environment, and always love talking to people and gaining new perspectives. Always up for meeting folks, going out, staying in, or whatever the plan may be, I'm very chill and am pretty happy with anything. Learning and teaching are always fun for me, and would love to learn/teach new recipes, ideas, or languages! Promise I'm a real person, and always try to be neat and respectful!
