ABOUT ME

I just finished up my first year as an English teacher in Moscow and am now travelling around the Balkans for two months before I return to the United States. I hope to visit every country in the Balkans before the summer is up meeting new people and becoming fluent in Serbian. My father is Serbian and from Kragujevac so I speak understandably but not great.

I studied Political Science in university so I am always interested in politics and I am also the founder and Editor in Chief of Vostokian.com where I and other young professionals and students write about Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I always love meeting new people but I've found that when staying in hostels I don't meet as many locals as I would like. I think couchsurfing will give me the chance to speak with more local people and see how they live.

兴趣

I am interested in politics, economics and sports among other things but am always interested in meeting new people and learning new things. I am also a teacher of English so I am more than happy to help anyone with their English who I visit or who stays with me!

I listen to most music but probably most of all I listen to Serbian pop music and American rap music.

My favorite book is Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut and my favorite film is My Grandfather's People (Turkish film).

I've taught English so I can definitely help hosts with their English skills and talk with them about how life is in Russia and America and help with Russian if they are interested in learning it :)
