Overview
About Me
👋 Hi!
My name is Alexey. I’ve been hitchhiking for 10 months, traveled through 6 countries, and I continue to explore the world with a backpack, a tent, and an open heart.
🛤 A little about me:
– I travel on a low budget, but with a big soul: hitchhiking, camping, Couchsurfing.
– I’m always grateful for any place to stay. I respect personal space, keep things clean, and never cause trouble.
– I don’t drink or smoke. I’m tidy, peaceful, and can help with cooking, cleaning, or just bring good energy into your space.
🌍 My interests:
Psychology, street philosophy, filming travel videos, art, and cooking.
I love listening to stories, sharing my own, and truly diving into local cultures.
I can share tips about traveling with almost no money or just be a kind and respectful guest
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I believe in people.
Couchsurfing is not just about a roof over your head — it’s about trust, hospitality, and real human connection.
Wherever I go, I try to give at least as much as I receive.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love anything that makes me feel deeply or reflect on life.
Books:
– The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho – about faith, purpose and signs.
– Shantaram – a wild and beautiful story about love and freedom in India.
– The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck* – honest and grounding.
Movies:
– The Beach – for the traveler’s soul and search for meaning.
– Knocking on Heaven’s Door – raw, poetic, and free.
– Into the Wild – this film pushed me to start my own journey.
Music:
My taste shifts with my mood: from peaceful Indian sitar and ethnic sounds to psychedelic rock, lo-fi beats, or deep movie soundtracks. Music helps me feel the moment more fully.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I’ve done was hitchhiking through 6 countries with almost no money, relying only on the kindness of strangers and faith in the journey.
It taught me trust, humility, and that the world is much kinder than we think.
Teach, Learn, Share
