ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Alex.

I'm a chilled out easy going person. I really like going on adventures and discovering new things be it travelling around the world or in England. I love being outdoors. Think it comes from living in London most of my life. I suddenly realised there is something other than high rise buildings and the tube.
Work involves being a forest school nursery teacher, I get to play outdoors all day.
I'm really into cycling and climbing (even though I'm not great at either) but meh it's fun.

PHILOSOPHY

"Just keep swimming keep on swimming." Finding Nemo best philosophy ever.
other than that, do what makes you happy. if you can't do what makes someone else happy and feel happy that you make them happy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never actually surfed before but lived with people who have told me it's great. So thought why not.

I enjoy painting. Currently learning spanish. I like to think im into photography, but haven't picked up a real camara in forever. I'm a vegetarian and like cooking interesting new recipies.

Books, I normally read travel writers as that is when I do most of my reading, but also fantasy fiction like Niel Gaimen.

Films: I enjoy independent films, artificial eye is great as they show films about real life. I'm also a great fan of Disney which comes in handy as I work with 2-5 yr olds. I love the Japanese version of Disney "Studio Gibley".

I listen to lots of different kinds of music. When I go out generally reggae and jungle. I'm Not really into chart music, but depends if it's a good song. I like the classics Led Zeppelin, Dire straights. There is also some great new music in England such as The Skints and London Grammer.

Recently climbed a volcano after looking at it for a month. Finally looked in side and it bubbled hello to me. My legs were like jelly afterwards.
