Born in Paris, I then lived in Switzerland, Greece, back in Switzerland, and then moved to Virginia in the U.S. for my undergraduate studies. I am now backpacking South America with my best friend Holly, whom I met at university. We are both avid wine drinkers and salsa dancers.

I spent a summer as a research assistant in Delhi, India. I took an intensive Hindi course and learnt a year's worth of Hindi in my first month. The anthropological research centered around the perceptions of hygiene and cleanliness amongst the Dalit ("Untouchables") of Delhi who worked as manual scavengers of the city.
