I was born and raised in Georgia in the United States and have a mixed background. I’m an environmental consultant and luckily get to travel around the US for work. I’m currently trying to tackle all 50 states and I’ve almost completed the entire east coast. I may have short legs standing at only 5’1, but I enjoy running and to date I have run 3 half marathons, a 10 miler, a few 10k, two obstacle course runs, and several 5k. Trying to eventually work my way up to a full marathon, but I’m not that crazy just yet.

I joined because a friend and I were planning on traveling around Europe after our studies ended in spring 2016. She encouraged me to try couchsurfing. Although I was hesitant at first, I've never been more happy with an experience! It may be cliche, but when I was abroad it truly made me realize just how big the world is. During my four months living in Spain I made some amazing friends, had the best experiences, and made memories that I will forever cherish. Through couchsurfing I met even more people who had so many interesting stories to tell and that I otherwise would've never gotten the chance to meet. Whenever I plan on traveling again it'll definitely be through couchsurfing. What's better than connecting with people you otherwise wouldn’t have met and hear their story?

A few other hobbies of mine include reading, dancing, traveling, knitting, and cooking. I enjoy trying new recipes and cooking for my friends. I’ve also gotten more into “adrenaline junkie” activities. I’ve hang glided, sky dived, and white water rafted and now have bungee jumping on the to do list. Anything outdoors I enjoy. Oh and also drinking wine, beer, and coffee, because they’re essential.
