Hi! My name is Alexis, and I am really excited to couch surf! I love traveling and exploring and of course I love food. I just left the U.S. for the first time this year, and have caught the travel bug.

I love reading and sleeping and watching Netflix. When I'm traveling I like to visit all the different churches and castles. I really like sports, I played soccer in high school and I enjoy cheering on my schools football team.

The coolest thing I've ever done was watch the sun rise on the Sahara desert. I was studying abroad in morocco and some friends and I got up at 5:30 in the morning, and walked for an hour out into the desert to the highest dune we could find. It was so amazing, I felt so small and powerless against something that had been around for thousands, maybe millions of years. We were up so high, yet I didn't feel scared because if we fell it was only sand all the way down. I can't wait to go back to the desert.

I don't really know what this means, but I'm always happy to learn something new! I like learning about different cultures and traditions. I also realize that Americans don't always have the best representation in the minds of those abroad, and would like to have the chance to improve your idea of America!
