About Me
Hi, I’m Alexis.
I’m a 23-year-old French student living in Paris, originally from a small town. I love walking — whether it’s a quiet hour at sunrise after a party, a few days hiking in the mountains, wandering through big cities around the world, or just exploring the countryside.
I enjoy travelling, but not in a luxurious way. I prefer simple things: light bags, spontaneous plans, and places that feel real.
My ideal evening? A long dinner at home with close friends — good food, good wine, lots of laughs, and conversations that drift from philosophy to history and everything in between.
I’m someone who really enjoys the unplanned moments.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to welcome people in Paris, show them around, and share my love for my city !
I used to stay in hostels, but the meal sharing, random philosophical/political conversations at 2am are even more authentic at someone's place, which is a part of themself.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books
Charles Péguy. I recommand "L'argent" ("Money") beautifully describing the turn of the XXth century in terms of relationship with money and work habits.
Saint Exupery, don't miss "Le petit Prince", it is relevant from 5 to 90+ years old !
Fernand Braudel, if you're into french history, or want to understand the french identity.
Pushkin's short novels in the metro, always better than scrolling on Tiktok. Or long novels with a candle + vodka + Shostakovich atmosphere.
Albert Camus, "Les Noces" to feel connected to nature.
Music
I listen to all kinds of music. It really depends on the mood—sometimes classical, sometimes jazz, sometimes electronic or French rap.
Movies
I’m not much of a moviegoer
Open to recommendations, and looking forward to sharing about that !!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1300km hitchhiking in Patagonia. So many encounters ! Crazy landscape, nice people.
Teach, Learn, Share
Anything I've learned in shool, university, books, people or life is worth sharing. I'll be glad to learn what you can teach me about life, and your point of view on it.
