Hi! I'm Lex, I am 23 years old, graduated college from Lake Superior State University, in a tiny town called Sault Ste. Marie in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Which, by the way, is a hidden gem. Living in the UP for 4 years intensified my need to travel and my appreciation for the wilderness.

I am an environmentalist, always thinking about how my actions and most importantly, purchases, affect the health of our natural resources.

Due to this, I want to be able to travel with the most minimal carbon footprint I can, and the hotel life just wouldn't cut it. Plus I am excited to live like a local wherever it is I plan on visiting!!

I am interested in the natural world around me. That doesn't have to be a beautiful nature preserve either, the natural world is all around us and appreciating the most common of insects and animals makes the natural world much bigger.

I also love the water more than anything, I'm nicknamed the "mermaid" with my friends.
