ABOUT ME

I moved to Austin 5 years ago and as much as I love my home state (Washington) it's hard to imagine living anywhere else, in the U.S. that is. It's a really unique and fun city with much to explore and discover.

A couple years ago I got to visit Barcelona and Switzerland and have had the travel bug ever since. It was probably the highlight of my life and I can't wait to go abroad again.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a nice house with a spare furnished room in Northwest Austin. I have one very laid-back roommate and our main concern is "no creepers!" The house is about 30 minutes from downtown and public transportation isn't ideal, but I may be willing to play chauffeur a bit. I work Monday through Friday and would be happy to give advice on what to see and where to go as well as get to know you a bit. I assume that common courtesy is a given, however, after reading a few profiles, I see that may not always be the case. Please respect us, respect my home, and be tidy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couchsurfing and as I don't currently have the means to travel abroad, I'd like to "pay it forward" and try hosting. I'd love to meet new people and learn about new cultures as well as show folks the great city of Austin, TX.
