About Me

My husband and I enjoy travelling especially backpacking and road trips. Our dream is to one day hike the PCT. Until then, we love visiting National Parks whenever we can. We got married at Glacier National Park a couple years ago! Um what else. . . . I work as an Occupational Therapist at Ohio State. And we have a 4.5-year-old beautiful daughter (who is a dog) named Olympia. She goes by Lympi or Lymperdoodles and is a Great Dane/Greyhound from the pound. We love her! We also have a kitty named Alley, but she tends to not be in the spotlight as much as Lympi :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the adult world, vacation time is so precious and little. So far, I've thoroughly enjoyed staying in Air BnBs and I feel like staying in hotels is just not a super satisfying experience. I think staying in a hotel is an easy way to go somewhere but not actually feel like you've been there. Camping is definitely our preferred accommodation but unfortunately I am not hardy enough to be an all-weather camper :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter never gets old! I love murder mysteries and read basically nothing but Agatha Christie novels. I love Taylor Swift, The Avett Brothers, and Mumford and Sons. I'm not super into movies, but I recently watched Knives Out and loved it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked 80 miles across the southern portion of Glacier National Park from St. Mary's to the Nyack in 1 week. Felt like I was dying for half of it, living more than ever for the other half!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love Ohio State, people, healthcare, adventure, and dogs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am definitely far from a backpacking expert, but I love to share what I have learned so far and our future trip goals. I love therapy and love sharing what I have learned of the human experience through working in a hospital. I enjoy cooking yummy vegetarian meals.

Countries I’ve Visited
