hey there! I’m Alexis. born and raised in California. i’m from the Monterey Bay, about two hours south of San Francisco. i graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelors in International Studies. I later went back to school and got another degree in Engineering Technology (architectural and engineering drafting and design programs)

am i using my degrees? no, not really. not currently anyway. i traveled a bit when i was younger but really started when i was twenty-three. and since then, it’s been nearly nonstop. by the end of next year (2019,) i hope to hit the last two continents i’m missing (africa + antarctica)

i live a unique lifestyle and wouldn’t have it any other way

also, i eat mostly vegan and definitely vegetarian

i travel a lot but only have so much money. couchsurfing allows me to travel weeks longer than i would be able to if i had to pay for accommodation. plus, it’s so much better than staying in hotels! i get to meet all kinds of fun and interesting people. get local tips. hear other people’s traveling stories. i’ve really grown to love it.

I traveled western Russia by train for one month. Scuba dived on the Great Barrier Reef for 3 days. Roadtripped thru Transylvania in Romania.
