ABOUT ME

Hi there

My name is Alex, I`m from Capelle a/d IJssel, The Netherlands.
I`m a spontaneous, easy going young man who likes to see and do new things. At the end of February i will leave for a working holiday Down Under
The things i like to do are: hiking, meeting new people (and get to know their culture),roller skating, ice skating, being in the nature, and (of course) traveling.
I would like to share much more about myself here, but that`s way easier to do when i meet you in person :)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, surfing, partying, going to the CS events (and volunteering in the Rotterdam event), and meetings.
Surfing when i`ve got time to travel, when i don`t, I like to host people to show them the interesting parts of Rotterdam. I liked the CS events where i went to, and will certainly join more of those.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many many good experiences, from CS camps and CS city events to watching turtles breed just because I met the right person. I geuss many more will follow.

Intereses

I`m interested in many things, but particularly in the beauties of nature, there is so many variety that you`ll never get enough. Seeing more different cultures, (Hitch)Hiking are some others.

There are lots of books i like, writers like Patricia Cornwell and Stephen King, but also the books of Charles Darwin and Lord of the rings.

Music genres: Salsa/bachata, (Hard)Rock, Pop, Wagnerian rock. Bands/ artists :Three doors down, Daughtry, Golden earring, Meatloaf, Serj Tankian(System of a down), Three days grace, Bowling for soup, Sick puppies, Bruno mars, Pink, Intwine, Rise against, Avenged sevenfold, Thalia, Erik Rubin, Prince Royce and lots more.

Movies: Lord of the rings, The green mile, Shawshank redemtion, BBC life, Frozen planet, Amazing planet,
Green street hooligans, grease, Step up.

Volcano hiking in Guatemala starting at 3 AM, reaching the viewpoint during sunrise. Hiking/camping in Sweden.
Hitchhiking in :Australia, Malaysia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Germany The Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Sweden, Belgium and Mexico

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can learn you to Ice/roller skate and juggling. I know a little bit Spanish which i like to share and of course i like to share (traveling) experiences.

I`m interested in learning more Spanish (actually learning a few words in many different languages would be amazing).
Salsa dancing, scuba diving and surfing are some of the other things I definitely want to learn
