Overview
About Me
In Boston, MA soon finishing PhD in Bioengineering at Northeastern University, former Fulbright fellow
Love traveling, meeting new people, exploring, and celebrating life through big adventures and disciplined routines. Every trip creates something new in me and fills me with understanding and sympathy towards nations, cultures, and traditions.
When I'm not in the lab, I cook, bike, take photos for myself and for others, dance and teach bachata and salsa.
I did a bunch of studies with mostly Physics, Electronics, and Dosimetry involved. My current project is about how humans manipulate complex (flexible) objects, aka the bullwhip.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The CS makes it so easy to get in touch with the locals who are a treasure for a traveler in a new place. Staying with locals is much cozier than staying at a hotel.
Not only caring through sharing, but also learning about each other through simple common activities such as walking at a park or cooking dinner - are tremendously facilitating and crucial for friendships.
Interests
It's a constant adaptation to the fast-changing reality while maintaining my basic principles: honesty, curiosity, and support.

Music, Movies, and Books
Usually mixed, but somewhat skewed towards jazz and rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
spent a night like a homeless at a port while backpacking in Bratislava (Slovakia)
skydived
got a tattoo, then a couple more
was a teamleader for school students at an international competition
got married (and divorced)
well, it all seemed cool back then. probably I'm doing the most amazing thing right now and have no idea of it. Let's do it together!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love cooking and learn new methods and ways. Love doing it together. the two can act concerted at the kitchen for sure
same for singing.
I can teach Russian or English and am always happy to learn them, as well as other languages.
I like snowboarding and taught a few friends to snowboard, it was exciting.
We always develop different talks on culture differences, and intercultural interactions.
I enjoy social dances a lot! Tango, bachata and salsa are awesome.
Communication and psychology always have been so interesting for me.
Sometimes it's the nature we all need. I get hugely relaxed when I go to my garden outside the city or work at a workshop there... Hiking of camping are the best outings.
I also wish to learn the basics of sailing and sea navigation
What I Can Share with Hosts

I can talk, or give the space. Play guitar and sing or sit there and listen to you.
