I a€™m a designer at heart. I love the ability to create something new that no one has ever seen before. And not just a thing, but a tool, and object with form and function.

Personal Mission: Leverage emerging technologies to provide essential needs and tackle problems that matter.

I’m a designer and storyteller at heart. More so than products, I enjoy designing ways to connect technology and talent to solve needs. I'm all about where we are going. The next big idea, the next big break through, these are what I live for.

In the summer of 2013, I learned about a 5-year-old boy who was in need of a prosthetic hand. After working with the family and seeing their pains, I began seeing a pattern. Many suffer from limb loss or difference and are need of a functional prosthesis. However, these prosthesis are very expensive, and many cannot afford them. I started meeting those in the limb difference and prosthetist community, focusing on cost, but finding out something much more fundamental.

Every single person I talked to expressed the same pain, that no matter how affordable or functional a prosthesis was, if it did not fit well it was useless.

This process was the birth of Adaprox, a manufacturing startup that will use digital scanning and additive manufacturing techniques to provide prosthesis sockets that are more comfortable and a better fit, all while being produced faster and for a lower price than current techniques.

At Adaprox, we believe no one should have to compromise when it comes to their limb. With how much effort, money, and time is put into relatively unimportant mediums today, something that is as fundamentally necessary as a comfortable and useable fit should be readily available. We are currently in the proof of concept phase, working with early adaptors to test our design.
