About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a student, 20 years old, and I think I'm friendly, open minded and pretty laid back. Just as happy relaxing quietly as getting out and being active. I like going out for a drink, having a laugh and learning about new cultures and histories. That's why I love travelling!

PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy?! I'm not really sure. I guess I try to make the most opportunities that come along, and try and find as many as I can through the people I know. I think it's good to be relaxed and flexible in life. I don't have a religious faith, and I hate modern politics (in practice, though I quite like informal debates about world issues)

Music, Movies, and Books

FILMS: LA Confidential... Hero...
BOOKS: Baroque Cycle, Neal Stephenson... Name of the rose... High Fidelity... some non-fiction stuff too, especially travel writing - Bill Bryson, Colin Thubron
MUSIC: Warren Zevon... Bruce Springsteen... Southside Johnny...Brother Iz... The National... Gaslight anthem... counting crows... barenaked ladies... I like Jazz too, Django Reinhardt, Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderly, &c. some other stuff too, like reggae, old r'n'b

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quite a few to choose from, fortunately, especially from South America, China and Japan. I'll go with my solo travels round Japan, visiting some of the old temples and monasteries that haven't yet been taken over by crowds of tourists - so peaceful
