About Me

Hi! My name is Alex and I look forward to meet you! I have been working as a paramedic for a bit more than 4 years now in Nova Scotia, while I'm not travelling!
In the last year, I have done a lot of volunteering with NGO, running race event and some other organizations and had the chances to visit some really cool places in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people, share some stories and enjoy a roof and place to sleep when I'm travelling!

Interests

Running, surfing, hiking, skiing, kayaking, camping or any kind of outdoors activity sounds pretty good to me!

In the last year I have been travelling the world, volunteering at different races and for different organization as a Medic. (Honduras, USA, Portugal, Nepal). I work full time when I'm home as a paramedic as the same time as training for different trail running events.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very open to discover any kind of music, leaving in Nova Scotia in the last 4 years, I discovered a little bit more fiddle and celtic music which is very present in the everyday life. Otherwise, coldplay, the killers passenger, of little monster and men, anything really is good!

I love reading, once again, a large variety of interest, a few books caught my attention lately such as A House in the Sky and Natural Born Heroes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have worked for an NGO in Nepal doing earthquake relief for 7 weeks in June/July and August 2015. It was a very intense, rewarding and interesting experience.

I ran my first ultramarathon this winter, pacing for another runner and 3 weeks later I ran 50km with my sister between New Mexico and Texas!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about the culture, experiences and differences between people. I love to learn new recipes, new languages and discover new places.

If you come visit, chances are will go pick some wild berries, mushroom or anything that is in season in the forest near by!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Loving to cook and eat, we definitely share some stories while having a good meal and drinks.
