I'm Alex. I grew up and live in the SF bay area. I currently live in Sebastopol, between Bodega and Santa Rosa. I love the dirt and spend a lot of time outside. I could spend a whole day harvesting wild food, on a bicycle, or hiking and exploring local natural history. I love and appreciate hand crafts. I'm all for dancing and cooking in the home kitchen rather then going out and dinning.

I have two major connected, but seemingly conflicting passions.

1. Nature and Nature skills. Rural. Away from sounds of city, lights, and people. I enjoying practicing primitive skills and generally being outside. Harvesting food. Building shelters. Learning new plants, mammals, mammal tracks, birds, insects, and how they have ben and could be used as well as taken care of by us.

2. Skateboarding. Urban. The most fun, creative, and physical way to interact with the city environment. A huge intergenerational, and interracial community of fun and funny people. Wandering a city, meeting other people who like to play and falling into a rhythm of serendipity!

Both passions are DIRECT engagement with an environment. I don't just want to watch , I want to engage and play.

I enjoy hosting and hooking people up. If i'm rooted in a place and have resources its a no brainer to help out people passing through.

I'd like to travel to learn a culture and lifestyle, not just tourism. I'd like to meet and learn about the people in a place, cook a meal or share a story.
