I'm against the "special word policy", because the more you need a couch, the less you have time to read every single line in a profile.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My Rules:

- Mi casa es mi casa

- I don't host open-minded-and-easygoing-people (that excludes the 95% of the CS community)

- You can bring your pet. I just inform you I live with an alligator. There's also a chimp, but he's always in his room studying astrophysics

- I only accept copy-and-paste requests, please don't send me a personal request

- Please don't include a special word in your message

- CouchSurfing is a dating website

- I don't want to know different cultures

- You can only smoke inside

- I cannot host when i have free time (if not, it wouldn't be free time)

- You will sleep in the common room, but i will try to make a lot of noise in the early morning

More seriously:

- Don't say you are going on the street if i don't host you (hospitality is kindness, not a blackmail)

- My dishes are waiting for you
