About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to eat my way through SE Asia, and survive.
ABOUT ME
I've been traveling since I was 8 years old, a perk from a mother who worked for an airline. Until 2010, all my travels have been with a parent or both. The experience was not as enjoyable. In 2010, that all changed when my sister and I traveled solo to Europe. The freedom of packing light, the joys of crazy random adventures brought about by misreading maps and meeting strangers changed me (and maybe my sister) forever. Now, back in the Philippines, working on my law degree, I'm saving up for my next adventure. While that's going on, I'll happily point any fellow travelers in the direction they want to go. I'm an avid hiker, wannabe art critic, and adrenaline junkie.
PHILOSOPHY
If it makes you happy and it doesn't hurt you, or mess up your life, don't stop doing it and try as much as possible to give people breaks, they need it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A few beers with anyone who's willing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
none so far. I just joined the site. but if it's any consolation, I've surfed on friend's couches.
Interests
20th Century History, hiking in the mountains, air soft, running, modern art, poetry, photography. Lately I've taken an interest in physical fitness and military style conditioning because I'm seriously considering traveling to San Francisco to visit a buddy just to do the GoRuck Challenge.
I think I'm a bag geek too. Definitely a packing geek.
Not that into TV sports. But I watch a lot of Football live.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've watched ad nauseam the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and I'm very much looking forward to The Hobbit.
Mostly I just watch movies as they get released.
The only movies I've exerted effort in watching are movies from Studio Ghibli.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One early morning, as I was driving to visit my girlfriend, I was going on the southbound flyover I noticed I was passing over some train tracks. Since I was moving slowly, I saw the newly risen sun's light hit the polished rails of the train tracks, and it seemed like the tracks, which were surrounded by weeds came to life, the light shining on them making them two parallel lines of light stretching all the way to infinity.
I knew at that moment I wanted to have my girlfriend next to me witnessing the same thing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach.
1. Rolling your garments instead of packing them like you would in a regular closet saves a lot of space. Using packing cubes or similar items helps organize that backpack.
2. Smile. It always helps.
Learn.
1. I'd like to learn how to do knots. It frustrates me. Incredibly. Watching on the internet isn't enough.
2. I'd want to learn how to make friends with anyone.
