About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I will continue to live and learn throughout the world, it is the only way that life will remain meaningful and fulfilling of its capable splendor. I will travel, live, learn and write, so as to pay respect to the many cultures, the many individual and co

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in NYC, living in Manhattan and the Bronx.

My ethnic roots trace back to the Caribbean. My father’s family is from Jamaica and my mother’s family is from Dominican Republic.

I am fluent in English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese (A language I have a passion for; I have also grown incredibly interested in the culture and history of China as I have grown more adept at speaking the language).

For 3 years I studied the art of filmmaking at New York University. I left the University having completed two short films of which I am very proud; they have lent significantly to my development as an artist. One of the films has recently been accepted into various film festivals across the United States.

Now I have embarked on a larger project, one that will allow me tackle the grandest of subjects regarding humanity in all of its essence, and I must travel the world in order to do so. I see this project, as well as all of my projects that proceed afterward, as speaking to all of humanity across the globe.

That being said, in order to have this project speak properly, I must do the following, and the following alone will suffice in rendering my pursuits worthwhile: live and learn.

My travels and writings will help me write and grow philosophically, and as a result I will be able to return from such a journey enlightened and capable of directing a cinematic work that will inspire a growth within world culture.

This project will be my first step in the direction of inspiring this growth—the inspiration itself, in its most full form, being a feat that will take a life time to achieve. So let’s view this project as one that focuses on the individual arrival at a greater destination, an arrival that, first experienced by one man, will soon be brought on to all of mankind.

I am looking to find someone to stay with in each city as I travel the world for next year. I want to be exposed to the different social settings and I want to embrace new forms of thought and living.

PHILOSOPHY

I am very driven and determined in regards to the cinematic art form and I work each day to grow into the most skilled and learned filmmaker-artist- philosopher that I can become. This is why I live; for me everyday must be a step towards further development in understanding human existence and developing my own cinematic language.

Interests

I’m always interested in exploring different cultures and social settings. Specifically I am huge on foods and beers. I also like hiking, there’s something about the journey that is incredibly rewarding to me. I read often and have a large interest in history, literature and philosophy. Given my field of work and passion, I am obviously a huge admirer of the cinema and proponent of its continued advancement, I believe that it is the single most important artistic medium of expression in existence today. As is the case with my interest in most areas, I am always eager to discover new forms of cinematic expression across the world and especially throughout its past.

I also love music, without it, there is no life; I love listening to all genres and one of my favorite aspects of travelling is being introduced to the different musical scenes around the world.

I am also a huge baseball fan!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share knowledge regarding the history of cinema and to learn from others regarding this as well.

I also wish to strengthen my own language skills in Spanish and Chinese and would definitely enjoy helping others with their English.
