About Me

CURRENT MISSION

making every week count

ABOUT ME

I'm 27 years old and originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I'm currently in Los Angeles for grad school. Outside of school I try to spend as much time as possible meeting people and doing things.

PHILOSOPHY

People are the most valuable resource in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couchsurfed and I've hosted couchsurfers. My first exposure to couchsurfing was through one of my friends in Cairo, Luke, who hosted people all the time. I really liked all the cool people I met through him.
Since then I've used the site to meet cool people in my own city, and for surfing and hosting. I hope to do more of all three in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I remember the first time I ever heard of couchsurfing. There was some guy sleeping in Luke's place, and I asked Luke how he knew the guy. Luke said that he didn't know him, and that he was just some stranger that had contacted him over the internet asking for a place to stay. I got mad a Luke for being a smartass, but then Luke explained that he was being completely serious and showed me this website. Over the next couple months I met lots of his couchsurfers, and eventually couchsurfed there myself for two weeks between when the lease for my apartment in Cairo expired and when I left the country.

Interests

I like lots of stuff. I'm usually happy to do what everybody else wants because then I get to try new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie films and dumb action movies. Also comedies. Music, pretty much anything except country. Books, mostly novels, often sci fi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I went inside the fuel tank of a rocket. Not while it was on, fortunately.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone that likes to see and do as much as possible. People who seek out new ideas and experiences.
