Overview
About Me
I am a first generation American born of Filipino and Gambian heritage, and a middle child sandwiched between two beautiful sisters. I am a recent graduate from Marquette University, and in August I will be beginning my first year of medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This is my first chance to become intimate with various European cultures, and Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to do just that. Staying with locals in whatever city I'm in gives me the chance to see "a day in the life of [insert host name here] in [insert city name here]."
Interests
Music (I taught myself how to play the ukulele), soccer (favorite position- keeper), cooking (favorite dish to make- lasagna), running, biking (I've participated in 4 underwear bike rides), exploring new places, beer (Belgian IPA > American IPA), photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
top 5 artists- Toro Y Moi, The xx, Kanye West, John Legend, Bob Marley
top 5 movies- Pulp Fiction, Life of Pi, Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 (counts as 1 movie), Star Wars Ep. 1-6 (counts as 1 movie), The Lion King
top 5 books- Roots, Star wars: Darth Bane Series...Honestly I don't read much. I'm more a fan of articles that fit whatever mode of thought I'm in, whether it be spirituality, photography, adventure blogs, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked in a clinic in Nicaragua where we served a rural population in the mountains of Esteli. I don't speak Spanish beyond "Gracias" or "Hola", but taking the blood pressure of a 64 year old farmer who just suffered a stroke or the weight of an asthmatic 6 year old showed me that my interests in medicine has the ability to transcend human connection beyond the language barrier.
What I Can Share with Hosts
