Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wholeheartedly believe that Couchsurfing connects me with some of the most intriguing individuals from all corners of the world. Each interaction is an opportunity, a doorway to a unique story, a new perspective. These exchanges have been my classroom, teaching me lessons that transcend traditional boundaries.

And the learning continues - each guest, each story, each shared laugh, and thoughtful silence adds a new layer to my understanding of the world and myself. It's through the reflections of my guests in this global community that I catch glimpses of my own character, my strengths, my areas of growth. Each encounter on Couchsurfing is like holding up a mirror, allowing me to better understand myself while exploring the rich tapestry of human experiences.

Interests

I dedicate a significant part of my time to physical activities that immerse me in nature. Hiking, running, cycling, snowboarding, swimming, yoga, and the occasional gym session form my active routine.

Beyond physical pursuits, I explore the depths of my psyche through meditation, silent retreats, and psychedelic experiences. These tools allow me to delve into non-ordinary realities and understand myself better.

I consciously avoid using social networking platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. For me, a smartphone serves a purpose - maintaining connections with loved ones, discovering intriguing individuals, and acquiring new knowledge.

My preference is to live fully present in this universe, rather than being entangled in the virtual world of the Metaverse.

Music, Movies, and Books

Being a novelist, I view reading as nourishment for my mind.

My recent reading list includes an eclectic mix: ‘The world as will and idea’ Arthur Schopenhauer, How religion evolved by ‘Rubin Dunbar’, ‘The teachings of Don Juan’ by Carlos Castaneda, 'Dopamine Nation' by Anna Lembke, 'Stumbling on Happiness' by Daniel Gilbert, 'The Age of Addiction' by David Courtwright, 'The Righteous Mind' by Jonathan Haidt, 'The Molecule of More' by Daniel Lieberman, 'How Emotions Are Made' by Lisa Feldman, 'The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide', 'Waking Up' by Sam Harris, 'Factfulness' by Hans Rosling, 'Black Swan' by Nassim Taleb, 'Homo Deus' and 'Homo Sapiens' by Yuval Noah Harari, 'Parallel Worlds' by Michio Kaku, 'The Three Pillars of Zen', and 'Wherever You Go, There You Are'.

Among my cherished reads are 'Everything Is Fucked', 'Siddhartha', 'Don't Sweat the Small Stuff', 'Sophie's World', 'When Nietzsche Wept', 'Master and Margarita', 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck', and 'Kafka on the Shore' by Haruki Murakami.

If one day I have the opportunity to have just one book with me and I’ll be able to read just that one for rest of my life and recommend to the others, without any doubts it would be “Everything is Fucked” Mark Manson!

In terms of music, my instruments of choice are the piano and the handpan. I appreciate any genre of music that resonates with my emotions.

As a podcast enthusiast and a podcaster, my favorites include 'Huberman Lab', 'Making Sense' by Sam Harris, 'The Tim Ferriss Show', and 'Hidden Brain'. I could spend all day engrossed in the insights and speeches of Joseph Goldstein and Alan Watts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is an incredible journey, filled with countless fascinating moments and experiences. So, if you receive a response from me, know that I'm actively engaged in this amazing adventure. Every response is a testament to the continuous exploration and celebration of this wonderful thing we call life.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can explore the city together, swim in the sea, travel, talk, meditate, cook, or just have eye contact without words.
Or if you like, we can have some fun and forget about everything.
Moreover, I will learn many things from you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When asked 'What Can I Share with Hosts?', my first thought is - moments of my life. I believe that time is our most precious asset, and sharing it is the greatest gift we can offer. So, for a day or two, you'll become a part of my world.
Each day together is an opportunity to exchange stories, perspectives, laughter, and lessons. It's an invitation to learn, grow, and create shared memories that transcend the boundaries of cultures and continents.
