Hi, I’m Ali! I live in Istanbul and I’m a PhD student at Marmara University, specializing in the History of the Middle East. I’m especially interested in the culture, music, and countries of the Middle East.

I usually spend my time studying in the library and hanging out with friends on the weekends. Since I started living in Istanbul in 2010, I’ve met hundreds of people from all over the world. That’s why I love talking to and meeting people from different cultures, religions, and countries.

I live in Taksim, very close to Taksim Square and Taksim Metro Station—just a few minutes’ walk from both. If I’m available, I’d be happy to show you around the historical sites of Istanbul!
