Overview
About Me
I’m grew up on Long Island, NY and have spent the past three years in San Francisco, CA (the best city in the US!). Back in June I quit my consulting job to travel for a year. My motive was to step outside of my comfort zone, and my goal is to learn about different countries, cultures, and people. Hopefully I will learn a little bit about myself along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve been staying in hostels the past 7 months and although I’ve met some amazing people just chilling in the common rooms, I believe a new country best explored with a local. Especially in big cities! I’d like the opportunity to fully immerse myself in the food, music, art, pastimes, traditions, religions, and customs of your country!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love indie music and read a lot of non-fiction, especially memoirs. I try to read books about the countries I’m exploring to help me understand the culture and history on a deeper level.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Conquered the Half Dome Cables in Yosemite National Park.
Teach, Learn, Share
I got my yoga teacher certification back in December, so I can teach you the philosophical as well as the physical nature of the practice. I am more than happy to discuss American politics (which are quite interesting at the moment), female empowerment from a cross-cultural perspective, and other issues that concern a global citizen! I also know some fun drinking games :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
An open mind, a willing student, lots of questions, and a good conversation.
