我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Before Couchsurfing even existed as a concept, this model of hospitality was a part of Iranian culture. When I was a child, my father would sometimes bring travelers from other cities in Iran back to our home. Often, they had only asked him for directions to a restaurant or Hotel. These guests would stay with us for several days, free of charge. If we ever traveled to their cities, we would go to their homes, and they would reciprocate hospitality as well.
It seems to me that modern life, with its abundance of hotels, is causing this beautiful cultural tradition to fade. Couchsurfing, in my opinion, is bringing this culture back to life, and I am eager to be a part of this global family.
