About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Stay happy. Stay free.
ABOUT ME
I'm half Egyptian, half French-Canadian; two very different cultures between which I've traveled back and forth most my life. I think that makes me a pretty open and curious person.
I'm generally rather quiet although I definitely need some high-energy times. I love a good party as much as a day digging in the garden.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't let your own interpretations and assumptions shape your conception of people. On the flip side... "Those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind".
Just smile and life will smile back at you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At this point I am traveling. I am looking forward to the opportunity of hosting some wonderful people when I make it to my next temporary stand still.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None to date. I've just heard loads of positive comments and feel it's time I join the community.
Interests
Things that grab my attention... I love people. I've always studied and worked in fields that put understanding human behavior at center-point. I want to see different ways of life and be exposed to new perceptions.
Things that make my life engaging... I like sports and the outdoors; horse-back riding, diving, climbing, trekking. I'm fluent in three languages and try and learn as much of the local language as possible where ever I go. I'm open to try new things and enjoy good conversation that either teaches me something, shapes my perception
How I spend my time... right now; traveling! I make a lot of stuff by hand; jewelry, sowing, painting, etc. I love a good book. I write a fair bit. So much; really depends on the mood and the people around me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I stopped purchasing books years ago and read what falls into my hands. You'd be surprised to know that most books I really want to read are generally not very far along the road. Keep open to new possibilities, still not interested after a couple chapters? Leave it to the next and go on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I decided to hit the road traveling again in 2011, I wanted to do it all on foot. I began my journey in South East Sinai, walking 250km through the desert. Once at the Egypt/Israel border, I had to turn around, not knowing there had been bombings on either side and that the passage was closed indefinitely. It took another week for it to open again, but I was already in Bangladesh by then. I’ve tried to travel by foot as much as possible ever since.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot, you know a lot, we all know a lot... sharing is caring, so open up and be.
