We are looking forward to meet you through CouchSurfing!

I'm Alice, I grew up between Chartres and Bordeaux and moved to the UK for work in 2014.
My partner Bertrand and I lived there together for 5 years and a half.
Bertrand is from the South West of France too, a small village called Lombers.

We both worked full time jobs Monday to Friday in a medical company. Bertrand is an engineer and I am a technical specialist in my field (engineer in biotechnology as I'm called in France!).

We decided to leave our busy UK life to travel the beautiful World we live in! Our adventure starts in October and we are hoping to meet some amazing CSurfers along the way.

Nous avons hâte de faire votre connaissance via CS!

Je m'appelle Alice, j'ai passé mon enfance à Chartres et Bordeaux puis ai ensuite déménagé en Angleterre (Reading) pour le travail en 2014.

Avec mon conjoint Bertrand, nous y avons vécu durant 5 ans et demi.
Bertrand est du Sud Ouest également, d'un petit village du Tarn appelé Lombers.

Nous nous sommes rencontrés dans l'entreprise de diagnostique médical pour laquelle nous avons travaillé en tant qu'ingénieurs.

En Septembre dernier, nous avons décidé de quitter notre rythme effréné en UK pour partir explorer le magnifique Monde dans lequel nous vivons! Notre aventure débute en Octobre et nous espérons rencontrer de fantastiques CSurfers sur notre chemin!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are quite new to the CS platform but already strong believers that CS is a great way amongst many to share with others in life.

Being travellers ourselves, we understand that one of the best part of being abroad is the people you meet along the way.
We would love to be part of one of your good travel memories!

On the other hand, we also hope to meet people when we are the road ourselves and are willing to behave as the best couchsurfer you'll ever meet!

We do like a good challenge... :)

Nous sommes encore assez nouveaux sur la plateforme CS mais avons tout de suite été séduit par cette communauté qui est une façon fantastique de partager avec chacun.

Étant nous même voyageurs, nous comprenons que les belles rencontres lors d'un voyage à l'étranger sont sans doute la meilleure partie du voyage. Nous aimerions beaucoup faire partie d'un de vos meilleurs souvenirs !

D'un autre côté, nous espérons également rencontrer du monde sur la route pour échanger sur nos parcours.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've always enjoyed attending shows from MUSE. I try and find an opportunity there and then.
Bertrand and I attended the Reading festival with friends in 2017 for this reason! It was such a blast to see them but also Eminem, Major Laser and loads of various music styles.

As for books, my favourite of all times would be Abysses from Frank Shatzing. A mix of real worl issues and a bit of fantasy.
Wer'e also masssive Harry Potter fans (well, especially me...).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first adventure that comes to my mind is walking on a glacier during a trip to Iceland.
This country has got so many breathtaking landscapes, it makes it hard to describe it in such a short text!

We are very curious about different cultures and would love to know more about your hometown and homecountry. That of course includes food and cooking!

Bertrand is passionate about sports and knows so many football player that I now surprise myself remembering names too... He can update you on any ongoing championship or race!
I am a big fan of long conversations when we end up trying to redo the world... And will always be happy to work on homeworks with kids if you have any! Also I love dance and yoga.

Nous sommes avides de découverte de nouvelles cultures et nous aimerions beaucoup en apprendre plus sur votre pays et votre lieu de vie! Cela inclut évidemment la partie nourriture et cuisine 😉

Bertrand est un passionné de sport et connaît tellement de noms de footballeur que je me surprends à en connaître quelques un aussi... Il peut vous tenir au courant sur n'importe quelle course ou tournoi en cours!
De mon côté, j'adore refaire le monde dans de longue discussions autour d'un bon repas ou d'un verre avec les hôtes. Je serai aussi toujours partante pour aider vos enfants à faire leurs devoirs. J'adore également la danse et le yoga que je pratique de temps à autre.
