I'm Alice. I'm a freelance artist - I work with ink, graphite, charcoal ... if it involves putting markings on paper I can probably do something cool with it. I'm a total hippie chick, the free love and friendship kind, though I try to stay away from drugs (though I have nothing against them.) I'm MtF transgender and bi but not especially involved in the LGBTQ community yet, since I've lived in the middle of nowhere most of my life. I'm spiritual but not especially religious, and I love learning about the diversity of human culture and thought.

I don't drink or smoke cigarettes, though I don't mind being around either of them. I do use either a nic patch or an e-cigarette depending on the situation. I like having clear rules and boundaries. I avoid breaking the law when I can. I like parties as long as they're fairly chill - though I'll step out if the place seems like a cop magnet or I'm not feeling safe for any reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First and foremost, I see this as a way to grow myself as a person. Traveling and meeting new people are something I haven't had enough of in my life. I want to see the world, learn new ways of living, make connections with people everywhere I go, and generally streamline my life.

Interests

Drawing is number one for me, though I also enjoy playing guitar, singing, yoga, programming, woodworking, reading, theology, philosophy, writing, and probably some other things I'm forgetting. Some of those things I'm not really good at but I like them all the same.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a wide range of skills and I'm happy to teach anything I know. I'll have an instrument of some kind with me and I love playing for other people. If the mood strikes me I might draw you something.

Past that, I'm pretty easygoing, laid back, and open-minded, and I can be a pretty good running buddy or conversation partner. I clean up after myself. I'm happy to help around the house and I bring my own food - but I'm a pretty good cook and I enjoy preparing meals for others if that's your thing.
