Hi everyone ! My name is Alice, 23 years old, born in Angers (Northwest of France). I grew up within two cultures: my father being Austrian and my mother French.

I am very creative and have an artistic mind. Everywhere I am I see the world through “drawing glasses”. I imagine the world in drawing colours. So, I always find an opportunity to create things and make art.
I love arts in all forms: photography, drawing, painting, sculpting, sewing, crocheting and other manual activities as well as visiting museums and exhibitions.
People often tell me that I am a cliché of my kind. In fact I started colouring my hair when I was 17. I regularly change hair colour, it is became a part of my identity. It is a way for me to stand out from other people. I don’t like the feeling of being in the norms. Plus, I regularly receive compliments (even from unknown people on the street), so not complaining haha !

Besides, I like going for a walk and enjoying the beautiful nature (sometimes also with my camera).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On 2023, I travelled in Australia during 3 months. It was my first big solo trip and it was an amazing experience ! Now I would like to continue what I started. I want to explore new horizons and meet new people, learn how people live in different part of the world, see beautiful places, and especially improve my different languages. And why not at the same time share this experience with you.

I have read many fiction books in the past years and now I began to be more interested in psychology and "personal development". I also listen to podcasts on these topics. I like to understand always better human thinking and behaviors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 16, I travelled with my sister through Italy with our backpacks during 3 weeks. It was the first time I got to discover a country like this with no parents around on a real adventure !!
