Hello!
My name is Alice, 25 years old and I come from Italy, Liguria. I graduated from University of Literature in Bologna.

Liguria is a region located between the sea and hills. I lived in a small city called Albenga for 18 years. I used to do many walks along the sea or along the paths a little bit away from the city centre. I appreciated the time spent here, but at some point I felt that this place didn’t suit me as before.
So I decided to go to Bologna, very different city, because I was interested in Art and Bologna is a city full of art. There are monuments, historical churches, museums and many beautiful streets and spots to see.
During my last academic years I started thinking a lot about nature, sustainability and what I could do to be a better person for myself and for the world around me. I began to read about sustainability, eco-projects, self-sufficient farms and people who decide to live like that and I would like to be a part of all of that.
I’m a curious person and I would like to know more about the world and about different things there are to be experienced.
I look forward to meeting new amazing people and pushing myself out of my comfort zone to experience many unforgettable moments!

In my freetime I like to read books, listen to music, watch movies or tv series and play board games! I also like to do activities outside like walking or skateboarding (I started to skate in January and I love it!). I think that I would like other board sports but I haven’t tried them yet. I am also interested in yoga and meditation and I look forward to discovering this world as well!

My trip started on the 13th of November when I took a ship to go to Buenos Aires.
Then I spent a month on a farm in Chaco, the north of Argentina. On February I spent a month on a farm in the south of Brazil and then I flew to Mexico to work as a volunteer at a hostel.
These three months have been an amazing experience that opened my mind and made me think a lot about life.

Now I dream to stay three months in the United States and meet many different people with many different ideas and thoughts who surely help me to grow as a human being. I hope that sharing my life experience I can help and give the same positive vibes to people I’ll meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here on Couchsurfing because after years of studying at University now I would like to live abroad, push me out of my comfort zone and begin new adventures!
I'm very interested in knowing other cultures, seeing other places and experiencing a lot. I think it's the best way to see the world from a different point of view and have a better understanding in a variety of ways.

I would love to have a lot of cultural exchange and learn a lot of new things about different cultures and lives.
I would also really love to improve my English, so I would like to practice it and speak!
