ABOUT ME

I'm a geek: not ashamed of it. I love learning new things whether that's academic, languages, or just plain old people-watching and gossip. I also love food, hot countries, and classic movies. Add those three things together and you get my ultimate trip - a coast to coast American roadtrip through the south.

I'm on a career break before starting work for a law firm so I've got a few months to do it. I'll be driving from South Carolina to California, hopefully via a few couchsurfers' sofas on the way.

Interests

baking - my specialities include danish pastries and cinnamon buns and I usually bake while watching something by Joss Whedon - running, cross-fit, history, dancing, my gorgeous greyhound dog, sci-fi, beating myself at things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: anything with Cary Grant, Jimmy Stuart, Katharine Hepburn, or Spencer Tracy; anything involving superheroes (bonus points if it also involves Joss Whedon); and anything with Romain Duris.

Books: Give me something by G.K. Chesterton and I can read it again and again; Game of Thrones; Catch 22.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped from the world's highest bungee jump in 2008 in South Africa, even though I'm afraid of heights (it didn't stop the fear btw.)

Teach, Learn, Share

I study (and love) medieval history, used to run a radio station and I'm a passable hand at mixing cement if you really need it!
