I've been travelling with my family since I was small, and I've never wanted to give up- trying to visit lots of new places and meet lots of lovely people and generally make the most of having long holidays :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by hosting and giving people somewhere free to stay - with hot food, local sightseeing advice and lots of sofa space :) Some people think that staying for free should be in no way relevant to wanting to couchsurf, but I think that if by letting people stay for free they can afford to see and experience more of the world, then that's definitely a good thing :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since I joined CS I've hosted and surfed and have had some really positive experiences doing both :) For my first surfing experience I went from Finland to Venice over a month, during Easter 2009 and had a wonderful time thanks to the many many lovely people who hosted us and showed us around. I've surfed in other places since, but at the moment we are living on a narrowboat on the canals in London so we don't have enough room to host.

We organised the trip through my boyfriend's CS (Danny Garside) , so if you want to see more references to make sure I'm nice and not going to bake you in a pie, there are joint ones for us on his.

I could teach someone some how to make their own clothes, how to make felt, a little knitting, teach them about boats, cook tasty vegan meals, make the perfect pancakes.
