About Me
Travelling is pretty much my life and I haven't lived at home permanently for over 3 years now! The first time I went overseas I was 2 years old (17 hour flight too), and even though I suffer terribly from travel sickness I haven't stopped since.
I'm a very sociable person and I love to meet new people around the world. The older generations of my family were globe trotters as well so perhaps it's in my blood.
I can be very fun and outgoing but also quiet and reserved. I'm very independent naturally and I love nothing more than long conversations where I can get to know others or hear their stories. I don't smoke or drink particularly much (uni days are over now), but I have nothing against people that do. I also love animals (particularly horses and cats).
I rode horses for years up until I went to uni (which was in a city) which is still one of my lifelong passions and I hope I can go back to it in the near future.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Let's just say my iPod looks like dictionary for music. It goes from Oasis, to Lauryn Hill, to Stevie Wonder, to Britney Spears, to the Stone Roses, to the Soundtrack to La La Land, to Amy Winehouse... it goes on and on.
I'm not as much of a movie buff as I am with music. I'm too restless for movies/TV - unless it's gripping like Lost, unapologetically feminine like Mean Girls or reminds me of my homeland like The Tudors then I'm asleep or out of the room within 5 minutes. I can appreciate the craftsmanship of TV/filmmaking though.
Books: Sophie's World (90s) is thought provoking (central focus philosophy), the literature I wrote about for my dissertation was pretty eye opening, those being The Wife of Bath and The Book of the City of Ladies. Besides that, I generally prefer autobiographies. Life stories are the best stories IMO.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in China for the past seven months teaching English to children was a very valuable and rewarding experience for me, and it taught me a lot about the world and myself. I still have so much to learn but it gave me my first taste of real freedom.
Teach, Learn, Share
Keep calm and carry on right? The world is your oyster.
What I Can Share with Hosts
World knowledge and funny stories for sure. But I guess my skills include anything related to English, horse-riding, I'm no cook but I can make British food pretty well, jewellery advice? (I used to sell diamond rings as well). I'll do a favour for anyone and I have a guilty pleasure for writing lists if this helps anyone. I have worked with children too so I can always lend a hand in that regard.
