About Me

Pronouns: ze, hir, hirs

Fun-loving and adventure-seeking, I am beginning a new chapter at 44. Non-smoker, extremely light drinker, emerging from autistic burnout. I’m an interculturalist and anti-oppression facilitator, consultant, and coach with hir own business that I operate from home.

In the recent past, I was a Peace Corps volunteer in México for four years and then worked for the PC at HQ in DC for four years. I was a front-line DEI practitioner in the Trump admin, thus the burnout. In 2021 I moved to Seattle from DC to recover. I moved to ABQ to be close to good friends and build liberatory community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to meet warm, open, mostly chill people. I stayed with couchsurfer hosts all over México and had wonderful experiences.

Just arrived to ABQ and looking for a studio or 1br casita or unit in small apt complex, close to Wells Park.

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie, jazz, soul, electronica, hip hop - I like most music that doesn´t hurt my ears. I´m a closet rom com aficionado, though working on coming out. Lately I´ve been into travel memoirs, classic novels and non-fiction about Mexico, but I love to read and will read just about anything that will hold my attention and take me on an adventure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ziplined off the Great Wall of China.

Teach, Learn, Share

All day, everyday. I´m on a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and sharing what I learn along the way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A love of life, an easy sense of humor, a respectful manner, a love of chatting and getting to know people. I highly value the cleanliness and tidiness of visitors without having to ask, so I am that sort of guest. My grandmother taught me to clean up after myself and make my bed when I am a guest, so that I will be asked to visit again, and I´ve never forgotten it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic, French Polynesia, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mexico, United States
