ABOUT ME

I grew up mostly in Spain, in the costa brava. I am half dutch and half spanish. For university studies I moved to the USA and to Australia. I personally loved Australia and its surf. I am currently working for an international firm in Barcelona. I just returned from a year traveling around Asia where I had many great couch surfing experiences.

Futher more I am a very active person, sports are everything to me. I am always playing around in the ocean, the forest/jungle, lakes, the mountains....

I love to be sorounded by nature and friendly & fun people. I consider myself openminded and ready to listen and learn from others. I want to know it all, hence I tend to ask lot of questions. I adapt easy to new locations and never feel homesick. I always want to move on and see other places, more new things.

PHILOSOPHY

I have yet to find my purpose in life, which right now is to enjoy and discover the world, travel around the world, and discover what I would like to do as a proffesion. I have two Bachelors in World Economy and Development, I do like this field, however it is very broad. I have to find a specific direction where to go into, and possibly to study a Masters degree in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted people at my parents house in Spain where i lived for several months before coming to Asia to save more money. Traveling around Asia was great and mett lots of great Couchsurfers. Furthermore while living in Barcelona I (and my boyfriend) continued to host people in our small flat in the city center.

It has been good so far hosting and surfing, I met a lot of great people!

Interests

I love to play sports especially:
Surf, soccer, rugby, snowboarding, swimming, skiing, atletics, waterpolo, skate/longboarding, snorkeling, climbing, windsurf, saling, kayking, canoeing, beach voley...
Sports that I would like to get better at or start:
Deep sea Diving, kitesurf, karate, wakeboarding, skydyving, harpoon fishing...
I like to play around in the mountains, the beach, climb trees, jump of rockclifs and such.
I spent most of my energy during the day with sports and nature. At night I like to relax, stay home, have a great meal and sleep (I am not much of a party person).My other passion is to eat (it makes we very happy to have a good long meal with friends) i like everything: fish and love seafish, meat, vegatables, spicy food, candy & sweets, and of course delicous tropical fruits.... ehum (i´m getting hungy already).
Furthermore I am interested in traveling, visiting new places and meet new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To always be honest.
(I could name dozens of other things and experiences that for me are pretty amasing but I wont bore you. I am very thankfull for everything I have had and done so far, I consider myself fortunate)
