About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find a decent way to finance all my traveling desires.

ABOUT ME

I am an easy-going, down to earth person. I have been a reporter for five years. My favorite thing about the job is talking to people and learning about new areas of life that I never would have sought out on my own, such as dance. I am currently a pop culture/dance writer, and I am constantly discovering new things that amaze me.

I come from a very diverse background, which has probably inspired my love of travel.

PHILOSOPHY

Lovin' is what I got. I said remember that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am so excited to meet and connect with people from around the world. I'm always surprised (or maybe not) at how much we all have in common. I am also looking forward to expanding my life experiences by meeting all these amazing surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Berlin with three hosts and one in London who were all amazing, engaging, kind people who loved to chat about the differences and similarities of our cultures. Great way to kick off my CSing experience! Can't wait to pay it forward.

Interests

I like: mexican chocolate mochas, maps, the phrase "bitch-slap," the smell of laundry, Tuna-melts, matzo ball soup, breakfast burritos and office supplies.

I love: action movies, hip-hop, cooking shows, make-over movie montages, Seinfeld, nature documentaries, food in general, bacon especially, kitchen gadgets, memoirs, StoryCorps, NPR, gin and tonics and Diet Coke with Lime.

Music, Movies, and Books

D., all of the above. But I particularly gravitate towards...
Music: Hip-hop. I also enjoy jazz, blues, 70's rock, trashy pop music and doo-wop.
Movies: Dumb and Dumber, Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy, High Fidelity, Rushmore, Amelie, Good Will Hunting, Clueless, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, The Royal Tenenbaums, Pride and Prejudice (the A&E version), Gone With the Wind, Back To the Future
Books: Me Talk Pretty One Day, The Glass Castle, Middlemarch, Pride and Prejudice, The Great Gatsby, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Magical Thinking, A Visit From the Goon Squad, Sex, Drugs and Coco Puffs

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed the Great Wall of China, twice. There are over 75,000 websites that mention my name.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love cooking. I pretty much make the best scrambled eggs ever. (Salsa verde and eggs belong together. Trust me.)

Always wanted to learn to play the guitar and piano. Or meditate. That seems like it'd be really helpful at night.
