About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cruise through the last bit of my 20's seeing the world!
ABOUT ME
I'm a british lad, now living in Aus... I don't leave the toilet seat up, I do the washing up and will even happily walk your dog...I drink copious amounts of green tea, and love all things related to food and cooking, though I cant cook very well myself.
I reserve a special hatred for 'lol' and other flaky comments. I am slightly geeky, (I have an interest in history and aviation, I love a good sci-fi movie and I love the big bang theory). I love to travel and see new cultures; I can't wait for my next big adventure though I don't know where/when it will be yet.
I'm a bit of an outdoors lunatic too, with many passions in sports and outdoor pursuits. I'm normally a project manager but am madly trying to break into a career in outdoor adventure guiding and instructing with the view to going into primary teaching one day. I would say that I'm not too materialistic and prefer amazing experiences in life over spending money on possessions. But although I do occasionally splurge on nice things, I rarely waste money on over-priced clothing and tat as I never know what suits me and it never lasts anyway!
I'm active, friendly, very chatty and pretty confident, but not arrogant (I hope!) and I don't embarrass easily.
PHILOSOPHY
Dont take life all so seriously, its not permanent!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couch surfer at the moment. Dont have anywhere to host just yet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None officially yet, but in all my travels so far I have had many experiences where strangers have been genuinely kind and generous to me. Like the time I was sick with food poisoning for 3 days in Kathmandu, and a really nice backpacker girl from germany that I met in a shop whilst looking very ill, helped me. Nothing too extravagant, but just little things, going out to buy food and medication, doing my washing, making me more comfortable. There are some lovely people in the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
Can't wait to see the new Star Trek movie!
With music I honestly listen to anything and everything. And with books, I like to read a lot of non fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tramped all the way up to Everest Base Camp solo last year. What a mission!
Teach, Learn, Share
In the mid-1960s, Slumber Party Barbie came with a book called "How to Lose Weight." One of the tips was "Don’t eat."
The pillars of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco are further away from each other at the top than they are are the bottom. This is due to the curvature of the earth!
